Translations

Every story, in your family's languages — as a separate track, never overwriting the original.

What it is

A verbatim transcript in the language spoken, plus faithful translations kept as their own layer so grandchildren can read what storytellers said in the language they were told.

How to use it

  1. 1Open a story's transcript.
  2. 2Choose a language to translate into.
  3. 3The translation is saved alongside the original — switch anytime.

A family who used it

Nonna told her stories in Sicilian dialect. Her great-grandchildren speak only English. Now they read every story in both — and when they're older and learn Italian, the original is still exactly there.

Good to know

How many languages can I use?

3 on Keepsake (English, Spanish, Hindi), 6 on Family, 20 on Heirloom — see the plan list.

Does translating change the original?

No — it's a separate track. The verbatim transcript is never overwritten.
